How I Work

Five stages, from first idea to move-in.

Every project — no matter the size — follows the same considered path. It keeps the process transparent, the budget in control, and the end result exactly what was promised at the start.

01 / 05

Initial Consultation

Every project — no matter how big or small — starts here. We meet to discuss your goals, vision, and budget, which helps me understand your preferences, lifestyle, and needs, along with any limitations in space or budget. From there, I carry out preliminary research to gather inspiration and start shaping early ideas for your project.

02 / 05

Concept Development

After the initial consultation and assessment, I move on to developing a concept for the space — mood boards, sketches, or 3D models that visually represent the design ideas. The goal is a cohesive plan covering colour schemes, furniture layout, and overall theme, along with drawings and visual representations of each room.

03 / 05

Detail Design

Once the Concept Design Proposal is approved, I move into a more advanced phase — refining the initial sketches and renderings into precise technical drawings and specifications. This is where every element gets full attention: specification schedules, budgets, and technical drawings for everything agreed in the Concept stage.

04 / 05

Procurement & FF&E

This stage is about strategic sourcing and installation of everything the space needs — furniture, lighting fixtures, decorative elements, and other essential components. Budget, quality control, and timelines stay front of mind throughout, working closely with vendors, manufacturers, and contractors to keep every item true to the design intent.

05 / 05

Execution & Installation

The design concept becomes reality — sourcing final materials, working with contractors to get lighting and furniture installed correctly. It’s the most exciting stage, and the most collaborative: clear, ongoing communication keeps you updated on progress and any changes along the way, right through to the final result.

The first step is always the same — a consultation to talk through your space, your goals, and your budget.
